Intimate Partner Therapy

As well as therapy for individuals, I also offer intimate partner therapy, which can be known as couples counselling or marriage guidance. The reason I don’t call it those is that I strive to create an inclusive practice, offering therapy to all the myriad ways we can experience our intimate relationships including LGBTQ+ and non-monogamy.

Our intimate relationships can have a profound impact on our lives and I deal with the times that those relationships just aren’t feeling safe or satisfying any longer. I can help partners to reconnect and heal wounds together, creating better communication and understanding of each other and learning problem solving techniques to help achieve shared goals and ambitions for the relationship.

Things that we can work on together:-

  • Affairs and betrayals

  • Jealousy

  • Sexual desire discrepancy

  • Unhelpful communication styles

  • The impact of major life changes

  • Difference and diversity

  • The impact of chronic or acute illness and disability

  • Consensual non-monogamy

  • Managing separation

Please do get in touch if you’re ready to work on creating a healthier relationship together.

P.S. I do not work with couples where there is active domestic violence. I would encourage you to contact Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service at https://www.ndas.co/ for further support if you can safely do so.
